The Regulation on the Granting of Incentives for Increasing Workers’ Salaries was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 4, dated 24.01.2025.

Article 5 lists the predominant activities of business entities that are entitled to receive incentives. Wholesale and retail trade are also listed.

One of the conditions is that the employee’s salary is higher in the accounting period than the initial salary.

The Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship, together with the Tax Administration of the Republic of Serbia, is conducting the procedure for granting incentives.

The request is submitted to the Ministry within the deadlines from 01.01. to 01.03.2025 for the accounting period from 01.07. to 31.12.2024 and from 01.07. to 31.08.2025 for the accounting period from 01.01. to 30.06.2025.

The request is submitted electronically via the application and after successful submission, a barcode will be assigned. The printed, signed and certified request is then submitted in person or by mail to the Ministry.

The RS Tax Administration checks and determines the amount of the incentive funds.

The decision enters into force on 25.01.2025.
